Recently moved into town, just started at this gym and loved the small gym feel. What a shame its leaving. Everyone was very cool to me here. First couple workouts at the Green Bay location just does not have the same feel at all. Smh.

first post
It would be nice if they had a manager that could figure out how to get the TV is working correctly
second post 8/10/21
well it was nice that they responded quickly, but nothing has been done.
its been over a month since there response. and the next day, the music was out for a week. now all the tv's and the music have been out for 3 days.
this is all because of bad training, bad management , very bad customer service attitude, and a not caring ownership.
half of the equipment is not even assembled correctly. the bench is supposed to have the narrow end by your head and shoulders, not at your but. all they have to do is flip if around, but there to lazy
I hear many people complaining when working out. xperience wants us to recommend friends to join....... I can guaranty that people are talking to there friends about the place, but its not about joining!!!

Night and day difference since the management changed. The management is rude and very unwelcoming. The place continues to get more filthy with every visit. Avoid this location if you can and go to the Green Bay location.

WOW!!! Stay away and Do NOT believe anything they tell you!!! They will take your credit card and charge you on day one and insist you will get a full refund if you cancel within a certain period of time. We have been waiting for a refund for over 6 months. Every month they say the refund "is being processed" but nothing ever happens. Now, after 6 months of saying yes, they say the refund is being denied. It is only $66.76 but how many other people have they cheated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After reading the Corporate response, I see the problems start at the top. SAD you have to lie to get people to sign up and make your commission. Don't just walk away, RUN!!!!!!!!!!! That will be the best exercise you get from them.

Really nice looking place. Looks new. But once inside, the area is compact. You really do have to wait to use most equipment on a busy day like tonight. I've been to gyms with more space and at least two of the weight lifting equipment and a least two rows of treadmills. Its nice, but this location isn't for me.

Today was the 2nd day of my free trial at this location. I have nothing bad to say about to gym, other then that no one, including all staff, was wearing a mask. With the equipment being very close to each other, it is also really hard to social distance.

Update your hours!! I drove all the way out to Suamico because it says you’re open until 8:00 on Sundays. I went to the Green Bay location first and they were closed. Looked and it said you guys were open later so I wasted my time and gas to get to your gym just for it to be closed too.

Very misleading. They advertise 9.99 per month and 1.00 to join promo but if you want to get the 9.99 a month it's actually $99.00 processing fee to join. Umm are you nuts? I think your over paying for processing. Just be honest.
The gym is small but nice and clean not usually over crowded. The staff is very nice but the management is very poor, you can tell by the atmosphere that the employees aren't happy and the leadership is lacking.

I wanted to tour this location as I was unhappy with my current gym. This was the most high pressure sales situation I’ve ever been apart of. The tour starts with them introducing you to the desk staff as the newest members of the team while optimistically issuing you a barcode (your future membership card). Next, they’ll ask you for your name and a few questions regarding your fitness goals. It is all part of feigning a personal interest in you/your workout. Regardless of your answers, you’ll receive the same generic pitch. I know this because few things I discussed were highlighted or mentioned during the walk through, but many things I did not, were. I use the term ‘walk through’ loosely too.
The machines are crammed into an impossibly small space. The fact that you can’t complete your walk through without feeling like you’re in everyone’s way is a testament to that. There doesn’t appear to be much thought put into the layout of the machines either. Very little consideration is taken into what direction you’re facing or what part of your body is being exposed to the rest of the gym as you workout. If you’re self conscious about using cardio machines, there are a few machines upstairs, but generally speaking you’ll probably be in one of two rows that face out the window with the entire gym behind you.
As you continue to tour the gym, there will be a weird insistence that you checkout their ‘surprisingly clean’ locker rooms. I had to decline 3 times before the tour could continue. They also offer tanning, but I’ve never seen such DIY looking tanning beds in my entire adult life. They’re standup beds, but basically look like freestanding cabinets. They include a small changing stall before you enter the bed itself, which is just four panels of metal caging wrapped around lightbulbs. They’re also just tucked into an open cubby below the stairs.
Every introduction to a new area starts with some form of the phrasing “after we get you signed up....” or “once we get your membership going...” I understand this is a basic tactic to help close the deal, but I’m shopping for a gym membership, not a used car. Oh, and there will be a high over-usage of your first name too, in an attempt to make your generic tour feel more personal. The upstairs of this gym includes 2 classrooms, a build-your-own-obstacle hub and a sparse few cardio machines. Despite outwardly expressing my disinterest in participating in classes, I was still given the whole spiel concluding with ‘when we sign you up, we’ll even give you a free class, you’ll really like it.’ Once again, thank you for not absorbing a single shred of expressed detail about what I am looking for in a gym. At this point, it was clear to me that this gym wasn’t going to be a fit and I made that VERY clear. However, the high pressure sales pitch continued with frantic ramblings about the shared pool with the hotel next door. It becomes very uncomfortable when you’ve made your decision known and instead of letting up, the salesperson can’t let you leave. After again expressing that this gym wasn’t for me, I had to physically walk around the employee to exit the facility.
You would think this was the end (because it should be), but it’s not. Mind you I toured the gym sometime late afternoon, early evening and the next morning I received a follow up call at 10:00 am. I was asked if I had a chance to utilize my 10 day courtesy pass. Getting a follow up call less than 24 hours later, having expected me to have already used my trial pass is wildly unnecessary. Especially considering I had made it plenty clear that I had no interest in returning to this gym. Keep in mind, when you sign up for the tour, you’re obligated to provide your email address and phone number. That way too soon follow up call wasn’t the last either. 4 days later, I received another call, this time I was smart enough not to answer. According to the voicemail transcript though ‘there’s awesome news about the rest of my pass...’
Spare yourself, I wish I had...

Amanda does a great job. If you're looking for a trainer I would highly recommend seeing her. Being new to the gym I was super anxious, I have no experience and not the slightest clue where to start, but she made me feel extremely comfortable. She was knowledgeable and didn't seem bothered by my many questions due to my lack of knowledge. I now feel confident about going to the gym.

Terrible customer service! You are not able to cancel your membership in person as they just direct you to use their website instead. They told my fiancé the same thing about her membership. It is impossible to do so on their website, so I emailed asking them to cancel it. We never heard anything back and we saw $40 taken out of my bank account, so we called them. We explained the situation and the person on the other end said that our membership was “pending cancelation”. We said we wanted it canceled and that we wanted a refund and to that the person said “I’ll have Jordan call you tomorrow about this.” We heard nothing so called them again. This issue is still not resolved. Do not waste your time and money with this gym like we did! No effort was made to make the situation right. Spend your hard earned money some where else! Your pockets will thank you.

I've been a member of Xperience for over 5 years and split my time between the one in Green Bay and here.
I think the cleanliness at this gym is far superior to GB. I enjoy the fact all the equipment is new and well maintained. I also participate in the Q classes and I enjoy those very much! I do have to acknowledge the fact that it appears all of the coaches and trainers have seemed to leave. The turnover rate of the coaches is a bit alarming. Not sure what's going on there.
I really enjoy the lifting platforms available to use. The employees working at the desk are all very friendly and engaging.

2 1/2 years ago I gave this gym a 5 star rating. I’ve now changed that rating to 2 stars. Reason being is because they can’t seem to keep trainers more than a few weeks or months at a time. I’m on my third trainer in 2 1/2 months. Very discouraging when you’re trying to reach some goals. Not to mention the negative vibe that seems to linger lately.
A few weeks back I was told I had to resigning a contract that upped my training another $40. My original contract that I signed was for $199 per month for one day a week with a personal trainer. (We were given a special rate being in Q classes) Along with the cost of my Q classes and gym membership. Total is about $300 per month. The gym gets a new manager and he tells me that my contract is wrong my cost is $240 a month for a personal trainer so I need to resign a new contract. So therefor I told him I’d be done the end of July. Since then more amazing coaches and trainers have left due to positions being eliminated and such. This gym seems to be going downhill and needs some good positive changes. I did reach out to corporate a few weeks ago but received no response. This is discouraging to me. I’m still a member to this gym, but not sure for how much longer. Very disappointed!

Love coming to Xperience Fitness in Howard for the past 2 years, and the Silver Sneakers classes are great. However, recently rules have been enforced to not allow anyone into the classrooms prior to a teacher being there. Everyone in the class is retired and comes a little early to get setup with chairs and weights, etc. This is now a problem causing a rush to get setup in class, and members are discussing joining a gym elsewhere that will be more accommodating by having a staff member available in the room when the members arrive.

Don’t even bother wasting your time. Customer service doesn’t return calls, trainers bring dogs into the lobby, WiFi doesn’t work despite numerous complaints by multiple people. The WiFi is constantly down and there are a handful of people who are very rude and unhelpful. There is constant turnover and inconsistency. The general manager is never a round and refuses to answer to the members when they have problems. I’ve begun searching for a new gym. Wouldn’t recommend going here unless you lived out in Suamico.
Would also like to point out the difficulties of getting responses from them. One of their trainers accidentally kicked and broke my phone camera. Wanted them to acknowledge that it happened and apologized and they refused to do so. Corporate refuses to hold them accountable for anything.

In November 2018 I had a total knee replacement. I didn't return to the gym until a few weeks ago. Upon my return I was using a crutch. The front desk staff at the Suamico location were fantastic. Specifically Beau and Jake who are right there everytime to open the doors and make sure I would get in and out safely. The sidewalks were always clear of snow and ice and the floors kept dry. The management staff did their best to keep the handicap parking stalls clear and monitoring those who were not suppose to be parking there.

Sucktastic. Made promises in order to get their contract signed, then reneged on the promises. Called to cancel - staff lied, saying I could cancel by phone, that I wouldn't get my money back (first and last months membership fees), but billing would cease. Months later, main office is harassing me to give them more money for membership that was never utilized - says I never cancelled. Threatening to send to collections and report against my credit.

DISHONEST ADVERTISEMENT.
Back in December, I wanted to sign up for the simple $10 monthly plan, because I don't need tanning, coaching, or discounts on supplements... After going in to the gym to talk to a "sales person", I was told that I don't want that plan, because there's a $180 sign up fee. INTERESTING.... that's a feature I didn't see listed on the website.
I was told that I could wait until January when there would be a better special for what i'm looking for. Jan 1, the new promo is out! Sign up fee's are only $1 x the day of the month, with a maximum of $15 on January 15th! No exclusions are listed on the promotion. So now i'm thinking "perfect, I can sign up on the $10 plan without paying the $180 sign up fee."
After spending another 3 days trying to get in touch with a 'sales person', I was informed that the $10 monthly plan is not included in the current promotion with the $1-15 sign up fee. I'm frustrated to say the least.
Let's be real...it's okay for a business to have a sign up fee, but it's NOT okay for a business to intentionally withhold price information. It's dishonest, unethical, and borderline malicious. You're not going to win consumers over with those values, and I would hate to be a front line employee dealing with the BS decisions of management.
As a result of this, I've taken 2 of your members away with me to planet fitness, where the prices were exactly as advertised.

Everyone I met there today was great. I enjoyed the class I took to try out the gym. Was disappointed when I was blindly charged $9.99 for a plastic water bottle and decal (basically advertising material) when I decided to join, which was never mentioned prior to signing contract. Only that I was given a "promotional deal", which by the way they charge YOU for. NO fee had been mentioned what so ever in the conversation, about "their" promotion fee", as I would have declined. When I questioned sales rep about it, Mike stated that the gym wants to make sure I have everything I needed for my workout!? Really? I told him I had a cupboard full of water bottles that cost me $2.99 each, and didn't need the one he forced me to pay for. I told him that it was a poor way to start off business. If they want you to have something, then they should give it to you as a gift. Not sure how long I will stay with this gym. Time will tell.

The club was very helpful in getting us set up for a membership. I thought that when we have the jump forward meeting it would have been, this is how you use these machines, this would be the best workout for you, etc. it was not like that, AJ was very nice, he did say what my heart rate should be when working out, and that I should do 30-60 mins of cardio and do resistance training, but it was also to try to sell me on personal training and joining the Q program. Now I’m sure that these programs are awesome, but they also cost a lot of money. I felt kind of embarrassed because I was expecting one thing and got another. It did give me a skeleton of a plan, but nothing when you come in, use this or that, so I guess I’m making my own plan.

First off, the equipment at Xperience Fitness seemed to be in great shape. Everything was clean and the other members have all been nice. That being said, I never give poor reviews of places, however, I am absolutely appalled at how I was treated on my very first visit. This is the short version and does not include everything that was inappropriately said.
I was set up with a “jump start session” with Brandon, a personal trainer, who said we were going to talk about my fitness goals. He took my weight and he asked what my goals were. I told him that after a blizzard we recently had, my dog ran through the yard and couldn't get back through the 3 foot piles of snow, so I went hiking through it and then had to pick up my 40 pound squirmy dog and march back through the snow. When I got back inside, it took me a good 10 minutes to catch my breath. I'm 5'3 so silly me for thinking that would have been tough. Brandon blankly stared at me and said no one joins a gym for no reason. I then told him I would like to be more toned but my main concern is cardio and I would just like to run on the treadmill and do my own thing. Brandon then asked what my "wake up call" was when I realized I needed to join the gym. He asked if I looked at an old picture recently that I had noticed the weight gain or if someone had said something to make me aware of my weight gain. I repeated how I chased my dog through the snow and couldn't breathe and said that my boyfriend was concerned and said I should do some cardio so that I'm not running out of breath so easily. Brandon then asked "oh you have a boyfriend, so has he made comments about your weight gain?" He asked how I felt about my weight gain and what it would mean for me to look better.
I am 5'3 and 115 pounds (120 according to their scale). I by no means think I am fat in any way. Until I went to Xperience Fitness. Yes, I would like to be more toned, but I have no issue with the amount that I weigh. He then began to talk, very condescendingly, about what type of help I needed in order to lose "that extra weight," how I would benefit from hiring a trainer, and that he is "amazed that I think I don't need help." He then told me that my calves, hamstrings, and arms needed some work but "if I didn't think I needed help with anything, then that's all he could do for me" as he angrily grabbed his stuff and marched away.
1. Like I said before, I am 5'3, 115 pounds, and not ashamed of my weight. How dare you try to use something as emotional as someone's weight to try and turn a profit for yourself, especially with so many other things in society body shaming people. I have been blessed in that I haven't had any real issues, but I can see where someone can feel vulnerable be so torn down by this tactic that they agree to purchase personal training sessions.
2. I am completely dumbfounded that someone who wants to "help someone with their fitness needs" would treat another person that way, let alone treat someone like that in general.
3. The only reason I did not immediately cancel my membership is because I believe in 2nd chances and I would love to believe that it was just this one arrogant and condescending individual and isn't the tactic taught to everyone, which would be completely disgusting and disappointing if it was.
I see there are plenty of people who have not had this issue and enjoy their membership so I’m not sure if they prey on certain people or what their exact motive is. However, just because someone doesn’t want to pay for the premium membership with personal training sessions, does not mean that they do not care about their health.
I would absolutely LOVE to never hear of this happening again and to be able to change my review. However, based on previous reviews, it seems like this is not a first time occurrence and attempting to manipulate people is a regular sales tactic. Prove me wrong Xperience Fitness. In the meantime, please just be nice and be decent human beings to one another.

After reading the reviews I decided against joining the gym. Advertise $9 per month basic membership but forget to tell you about the $130 something processing fees and blah blah blah. Anytime fitness here I come!

Has Deadlift platforms but frowns upon lifting any amount of actual weight... they said you MUST use bumper plates even if you cant fit enough weight on the bar. the bars will rip your shoulders out of the socket if you squat heavy due to a lack of center knurling or complete garbage level "powerbars" with paint chipping off of them. overall staff attitude is incredibly negative towards strength athletes. 80% of the trainers follow the same programs. I would recommend somewhere else but they're the only gym in the area... I now travel to Appleton for a (MUCH BETTER) gym.

I have enjoyed the new Xperience Fitness in Suamico. The group classes are awesome. I have liked every instructor and made many new friends. I am able to attend daytime classes. I do wish there were more in the evenings offered. Friday at 4:00 or 5:00 would also be wonderful. Jess the group fitness manager is a blessing to your facility. Always upbeat and so passionate about teaching fitness and inspiring others.

I look forward to going to Xperience Fitness every day after work. It's a place to work out all the stress of the day before going home. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The place is huge so there are plenty of machines available at all times. It doesn't matter your age, size or endurance....this is the best gym I have ever joined!

Buyer beware...This is a beautiful, state of the art facility, however the sales techniques employed are equal to those of a timeshare sales organization. I too had an uncomfortable meeting with Darren. He had the gaul to suggest that I would be more successful in my profession if I was thin and fit and proceeded to pitch a $9000 a year personal training package. I felt embarrassed and belittled and even had a followup conversation about my experience. Foolishly, I later agreed to add 3 months of personal training that cost $150 per month to my membership and it was a joke. 15 mins with a trainer who handed me a sheet of exercises that could have gotten off the internet for FREE plus a trip to the scale where my lack of progress was pointed out to me.I tried to cancel the program and was not pro rated for my unused session, instead I get hassled by all the personal trainer new hires. Ironically, Darren name dropped my name and mentioned how fabulous my progress was and how pleased I was with my personal training package. I dropped my membership and I am still receiving calls and email.
I would not recommend this gym to my worst enemy.

This place does not deserve any stars. I met with Darren for a jump start session after signing up under the impression that I would talk about my fitness goals and he would give me tips to achieve my goals. A HUGE mistake. He quickly started asking me for personal and emotional information. He asked me what my “ah ha” moment was to change my exercise habits and after admitting that I’d like to lose a few pounds and tone up certain areas he asked me how gaining weight made me feel (didn’t realize this was a therapy session). I said I was surprised and a little disappointed in myself but that I wasn’t getting too down on myself for it and that it affected my confidence a little but not a lot (the truth). He then spent the next 45 minutes trying to get me to say that I was more upset with myself and ashamed of myself than I really am! He asked me the same questions multiple times in different ways trying to get me to admit to how upset with myself I was for gaining weight (it happens)! After telling him time and time again that my self esteem wasn’t that affected and that I have plenty of confidence he continued to try and convince me that I had negative feelings about my body that I wasn’t telling him that he needed to know in order to make me a workout program and then he refused to make me one after I bluntly told him what I wanted to accomplish and how much weight I wanted to lose. All I wanted was some workout tips! Do not sign up for a jump start session with Darren! You will regret it and he will make you feel like you are being difficult but if you read any other reviews on Facebook or google you will see how many others have had the same problem.

I walked out during my initial meeting with Darren. He kept badgering me for my reason to join because what I told him didn't meet some magic criteria that he had. This is one star only because you can't rate zero stars.

I really liked the facility and location but I had to quit after the way Darren treated me. He was incredibly rude and condescending. His tactic of trying to guilt and humiliate people is mind boggling. If you're not willing to spend at least $600-800 a month he'll tell you that you obviously don't care about your health or wanting to get healthier.
