The kids club is the worse. The hours for the club were recently cut in half but of course the price remains the same. So many rules in place without notice until the day of. First you have to call and make reservations for your child to attend which started during COVID(PEAK season)understandably. Then recently they stated you don't have to call at all. Now it's a requirement to call 24hrs in advanced for your child to attend out of nowhere. No notice was given prior but they attempted to turn me away because I called the day of instead.

On top of having to call 24hrs in advance they still harass you when you walk in, asking if you made reservations or not.

We pay all of this money for our kids to attend only to have to jump though hoops to have them actually attend.

I went in to find a gym closer to home, and I will never choose Xperience. For one, the floors were mopped and wet, and there was no wet floor sign. I almost slid. The man working the desk was cold and unpleasant, and when I asked him how much you pay for a monthly membership, he just said "add it up." I was there for five short minutes, and that's five minutes of my life I'm not getting back.

Was a decent gym, but my membership started at 20 bucks and it is now 40. Go find a different gym if you don't want to get surprise rising fees. This took about 3 months for it to become this expensive and I have been going to these gyms for years. Bummer, but there are lots of good gyms out there.

Have no problem with the facilities but was just hit with 83% monthly price increase with not advance (or any) notice. Only found out because I checked my credit card statement.

If I had been notified of the change it might be acceptable but now I'm looking for new gym options.

Horrible business practice, understand cost increases but there was already a separate 10% earlier this year. (So total monthly fee is up 98% in the past 6 months)

Worst gym I've ever gone to. Multiple machines that are broken and warn down for months on end and haven't been touched. Weights are never racked. Staff sits around doing nothing. Bathroom isn't ventilated enough and smells. Tanning beds are broken and never cleaned. Does corporate not monitor this loalcation? Just paid $40 for maintenance costs and its never maintained.

Pros: lots of space, plenty of machines and never feels too crowded. Friendly staff!

Cons: not to be harsh- but trying to be helpful; this gym is kinda disgusting and feels beat up. Holes in the walls, layers (literally) of dust on machines, floors have clearly not been swept in a while- much less mopped. I honestly think a can of paint, some hole filler, and a weekly dusting/floor cleaning this place would be ranked higher. Also a lot of the machine handles are either broken, handles are off place or barely hanging on. I think for what Im paying im not expecting anything luxurious… just clean is all. Happy to change my rating if I see improvements! Just want to be honest to help improve the experience.

I signed up for personal training and before the first official session, was asked by the trainer to drive to a location 40 min from my home location. I was not informed he changed permanently to the other location after I signed up with him literally 3 days prior. The new trainer I was supposed to work with didn’t even know he was taking me on as a client somehow? When I spoke to him to cancel my training he hung up on me. It took calling the gym 4 times in one day to get “the manager” to not be in a “business meeting”. Finally I was told the training would be canceled and I was refunded. I go to check my bank statements and instead of being refunded I was CHARGED AGAIN. On top of all of this the gym is absolutely disgusting. No one wipes down the equipment after use and many of the machines are dusty, ripped and you can’t even read the weight number… an overall icky atmosphere. I HIGHLY do not recommend.

Used to love this gym...until I had to put my membership on hold (extend the hold rather because I noticed it was taken off of the hold and I was charged. I went to this gym for about 3 years and talked with the employees regularly. I put my membership on hold for personal reasons and a tragic life event. I looked at my bank statement and saw I got charged so I called and was told management would get back to me. No one called me back. I called again and was told my membership was placed on hold but would get a call about the charge from management. Once again I heard nothing. I kept being charged monthly for a membership I was not using and did not authorize payment for. I disputed this with my bank and the charges were reversed. Now, I find out my account was sent to collections because I received a charge back. You have got to be kidding me! Everyone that works there knows my situation and that I have not been in to the gym. I would not recommend this company to anyone! They make it impossible to talk to anyone about the matter and apparently the woman at the front desk failed to do her job and place my account on hold which now I have to deal with, not her!

UPDATE: the company removed my name from collections and cleared the “debt” after seeing my review.

I have been attending both this facility in West Allis and 27th. The facility in 27th was moving in the right direction when they had the gym manger Dale. Suddenly he transferred to this facility and the one on 27th is trending downward. West Allis is lucky to have him run the gym. He is a great asset to any gym! He created a great work environments for the team members and clients. The gym is improved their cleanliness. I heard recently he was let go. I am afraid the negative tendencies are starting to appear in both gyms

This was an okay place at the beginning, lately it's been dirty, women's bathroom bad smell, sometimes there's no sanitary items. Somewhat expensive for the few things they offer, and I haven't seen the worker's that were there before. The new staff is rude and wants to change the rules. The Q class was the best, when Denzel was training. When he was not able to go the staff was not coordinated (we will basically pay for no reason) because no one will give the class and if they did most of us were confused because they were giving the class all over the place. The 3 D machine never works (another thing we pay for and can't ever use. I was going just because Denzel would motivate me, he is always there when you need help, very respectful and he encouraged me to get out my comfort zone. Thanks Denzel! And thanks for the new trainer Detoine, he was always there to help also, teaching me the correct ways.

Extremely overpriced for what they offer and are very sales pitchy, felt like I was at a car dealership. Enormous sign up fees and they add an additional "equipment fee" to your bill monthly. They have heavyweight bags for boxing but you aren't allowed to use them unless you a.) Buy the most expensive membership and b.) cannot use it on your own free will you can only go when a personal trainer is running a class for it. No pool at this location and equipment looks old and worn. Kind of a rip off youd be better off just getting a plantet fitness membership, its cheaper and has the exact same stuff to offer at the base level, I could buy my own heavyweight bad and use it whenever and it would be cheaper than what they want to only be able to use it during a personal training class. The addition of a pool at the other locations is not worth the substantial price increase compared to planet fitness and other gyms. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone honestly, plenty of better gyms for less.

As a member of both Xperience Fitness & Planet Fitness, PF takes the cake! I cannot believe how dirty Xperience Fitness is. Half of the treadmills haven’t been working for weeks & are so crusty. The dust on the treadmill on the attached picture is just deplorable. The bubblers are gross and the women's locker room also looks like it hasn’t been swept in days. Please, please take better care of this gym. Your customers are depending on it!

EDIT: Dropped my TWO star rating down to a ONE! This Xperience is very unprofessional. Staff members are too busy eating Subway behind the counter, taking selfies, and chatting with one another to even welcome you. I entered Xperience with the hopes of getting a good workout in at 8:00 p.m. and there were GROUPS of young kids just standing around staring at each other, hogging space. Others were sitting on machines using their cell phones and NOT working out. The machines are too close together and people are basically piled on top of each other. There were FOUR treadmills that were broken, free weights left all over the place, TACKY orange signs hanging up everywhere, garbage cans overflowing, paper towel out of paper towel holders, the women's bathroom & locker room area was filthy, the paint is coming off the wall, ONE clock, etc.

Don't even get me started with how disappointed I was to see all of this. When I became an Xperience member 7 years ago at this location, it was in PRISTINE form & now I can't even begin to describe how disgusting it is. I will be cancelling my membership. Planet Fitness is the place for me!

I don’t understand all the 5 star reviews. Went it to discuss getting a membership and it was hot, funky and unclean. There was absolutely no air circulating in the entire gym. There was lots of dust and it just looks dank. There is a lot of equipment though but it’s all so jammed next to each; too close. There are also way too many fees; Monthly maintenance fee, monthly plan fee, annual fee, and enrollment fee. No pool no sauna. I’ll stick to Planet Fitness

Filthy. Poorly maintained. Every single machine is broken, dirty or ripped in some way shape or form and most of them are also missing multiple weight labels so be prepared to guess how much you're lifting. WiFi rarely works, so don't expect to listen to whatever is playing on the few TVs that are on. There's one clock -- it's on the back wall and the staff if too lazy to even put a new battery in it. Showers and restrooms are disgusting. Don't ask anyone at the desk for help -- they're too busy chatting with friends or posing for selfies -- unless you want to sign up/pay for additional services. And good luck trying to cancel. You will be given a runaround like you wouldn't believe. This place is awful. Avoid at all costs.

First let me say, Xperience West Allis is by far one of the cleanest gyms I have ever been to. Spray stations stay stocked for cleaning up after you use the machines.

While signing up for my membership, I worked with Craig. Craig let me know about the way he was able to learn about healthy living, working out, and healthy eating. It inspired me to continue my weight loss journey as well.

Ever since TJ started to work as Supervisor and Dale began to work as General Manager, I have noticed a big difference in the way the West Allis gym is being cleaned. They are doing a great job keeping the gym clean. It is a big difference from before they began to work there. Always a great time coming here! Chris always has a smile on his face and is very friendly with everyone! He makes sure everything is kept clean and does his job very well. Rotceh also does a great job keeping stuff clean and is very good worker. They make it a pleasure coming in to workout. They both deserve raises! The only thing I don’t really like about the place is that a lot of the equipment is always taken when you need it and it feels small. I got my membership and one for my son as well. I was unable to work out due to the fact that the “Child care” area doesn’t like crying kids. EVERY single time I went I was asked to leave because my 1.5 year old was crying! Yes! He is going to cry! What do you think a 1.5 yo is going to do at a place he isn’t familiar with and doesn’t know the people? The thing that bothers me is that I have been a teacher at a learning center for years and every age cries. I wouldn’t have a job if I called every child’s parents to get their kids because they were crying? Every time I walked in there the girl was in front of the computer. You get paid to do one job. Watch the kids. If you can’t handle a child crying then get a different job! I paid for my membership and his and it was a rip-off. Completely pointless. On top of that I was charged twice for an annual fee.

Also one time a lady didn’t remember seeing me scan my card and tried saying I sneaked in asking me to leave even though she literally complimented my nail color when she took my card when I arrived…. TRASH

After going in earlier in the day around noon to become a member at Xperience and not knowing that the people that sign you up aren't in on the weekends. I was simply turned around and was told that I had to apply online and basically go on from there and to come back either Monday or someday during the weekday. I wasn't offered a tour let alone a FREE pass to try out the gym ETC. I came in ready/prepared to work out and not being offered nothing as a promising customer to me is extremely poor customer service! Then again, coming on here and seeing so many common negative reviews just goes to show me that this location needs a lot of customer quality/service improvements all around.

Just started with a membership here. What I notice & appreciate: 1) staff says hello & goodbye to members. 2) covid precautions are posted & generally observed by members, though only a small percentage presently wear masks. 3) paper towels & spray bottles are generously spread throughout workout areas.

Noticed & less appreciated: 1) men's shower stall areas could have been cleaner & gnat-free. 2) members using weight stations to fiddle with phone or otherwise monopolize a station annoys me (wherever I've been a member), but it's impossible to police. Gone to knit-picking so I'd better stop.

Free tip: If you forget your earbuds, there's a Below Five store & a Dollar Store just down the block!

This club is very well unorganized and unprofessional. First of all, it’s dirty and no type of Covid health precaution plan put into place. They do have every other machine but then it’s so many people in that building who are not wearing a face mask. Not to mention, they are not properly cleaning off machines. Staff members lack knowledge and are not friendly. No staff members in the building to ask about membership questions. A customer was using three different treadmills when another customer was walking pass she stepped on the treadmill not knowing it was on and she literally busted her head and lip. Staff members didn’t assist accordingly. Lastly, there is no room to walk around when it’s packed ppl are literally touching one another. To conclude, they make it almost impossible to cancel your membership! I’m talking about the West Allis location! Be aware!

I have been going to this location for a couple of years now. It's been challenging over the past year or so due to Covid. The gym has adjusted as needed. I like this gym a lot. I feel comfortable here and everyone for the most part is friendly. I typically attend the "Q" class, which is HIIT, approx. 3-5 times per week. I primarily attend the 5 am class because that fits my schedule best. Shauna has been a trainer there almost from the start and she is a great trainer. She is always on time and has great music for class. Everyone really thinks she is great! Thanks. Ps. I have also worked with a couple of personal trainers from this gym and they have been great as well.

Edit: I had to update my review from 3 to 1 stars. Since the state is no longer mandating mask wearing, the place is AWFUL. I mean like, nasty. Waaay too many people in there to not enforce at least a company wide mask policy. If you aren't even going to do that, then expand the hours back to the standard 24 hour model Mon-Fri so that people can space out when they attend the gym to decrease congestion. I had to leave shortly into my last visit because of the crowding of people not wearing masks and there is no option to come back later in the night. Super spreader event waiting to happen. I recommend just going to Planet Fitness.

Sign up was great. Just a heads up if you were a previous member at Xperience, ask about a returning member rate if you pay in cash for the whole year. This worked out perfectly for me.
Aside from that, the gym is ok, probably the smallest location and people generally do a good job of cleaning.

My main quip is that on weekend nights, some of the staff rather rudely starts trying to close up early. I mean walking around 30 minutes early telling folks they are closing in "20 minutes". Then starting to turn the lights off at the last 10 minute mark. I paid a full membership a year in advance back in early March and folks are already having to accept reduced hours at the gym due to the pandemic for the same price as before the pandemic. Don't appreciate being rushed out on the staff's personal time rather than on the gym hours. If you guys don't want to work at 6pm on a Sunday then set your schedule to such. Lack of professionalism there. Needs stronger/better management.

Just signed up today, and interacted with at least one team member without a mask, while walking past the "masks required" sign on the door.

For all the reviews here about this issue with responses saying "management will look into this", one can tell there is no follow-through, at all.

This is extremely concerning for a new member. It points out that all the other poor reviews are accurate and all the responses from management are patronizing.

As a manager myself, I celebrate accountability and I don't hesitate to drop anyone who is opposed. Brace yourself.

Unfortunately 80% of the people in here at any given time are not wearing masks. Furthermore, people do not respect personal space, so they are not only within 2 feet of you but also not wearing their mask most of the time.

When I asked staff about the rules on masks, I was told that they are not allowed to tell people to wear masks (as long as they walk in with one on) as they may have a health condition, which the staff can not dispute- only a manager has access to health records. They also stated that they simply do not have enough staff to try to enforce mask wearing near the back of the establishment (the desk is up front near the door.)

I understand that wearing and enforcing masks is inconvenient but we are still in a pandemic.
This is very irresponsible, and I hope that the practices here change soon.

Basically I had a membership with them for some time. But because of my hectic schedule I was not able to get to the gym. So I canceled my membership. Well months later I saw they were still charging me. When I called to speak to someone about it they apologized for the mistake but said I need to send something in writing. Welp needless to say they stopped charging my card but left the account open. Some how I owe them $274 and they have sent this collections. I’ve tried numerous times to speak to some but no return call. Be careful of this place they will rob you!!!!!!!!

03/05 Follow as of this date I have left three different messages and still no response. I did what was supposed to do as far as canceling the membership the correct way. All I want is to rectify this situation as soon as possible. So sad to see big companies like this take advantage of good people!!!

This was by far my best XPERIENCE (see what I did there?) signing up with a big box gym! Courtney and Jacelyn were so awesome! They gave me tour of the facility, answered all my questions, and went above and beyond to make feel at home! The gym was so clean which was awesome considering most gyms I’ve been to are dirtier than under my kids beds after they “cleaned their room”. All in all those 2 deserve the highest of recognition because they are seriously the only reason I decided to give Xperience a shot!

I put my account on hold when COVID first started. After a month or two I noticed COVID was taking over the rest of the year so I went into the gym to cancel mine and my husbands memberships. I was told all set nothing else I needed to do. I then seen a charge from ABC taking out the fees for both memberships along with the yearly fee. I called ABC to get the charges refunded they said that decision would have to come from the gym manager. I called and left over 5 voicemails with the gym and STILL noone has gotten back to me about this and its been weeks. I had to remove my card from the account (ABC is who did that for me) then I received pre printed receipts for the upcoming months. Here we are almost 7 months later still dealing with this issue and noone from Xperience has reached out to me. Needless to say that I will not be coming back to Xperience because this is the second time i've had issues canceling my membership and both times the canceling process was completely different. This has been such a horrible experience for me and would not recommend anyone to XP.

I signed myself, my husband and son up for a membership. I was quoted a price a little lower then is actually coming out of my account. This is my fault I should have read the contract closer when I signed it. I also asked for a different membership for one of my family members and we all received the same one, again my fault because I didn’t read the contract closer. They do charge a yearly fee which wasn’t mentioned until I asked about it. Other then that the gym is clean and we enjoy working out here. I would recommend using this facility but just read everything carefully.

Attended a few of Xperience Fitness centers and this one provided a poor experience to put it lightly. There is one employee who cleans and when he’s not there the gym is filthy. When the gym first opened back up after quarantine it was a team effort from trainers to front desk staff cleaning, that lasted about a week. Staff is lazy and gym is dirty.

Elliptical machines need to be wiped down regularly. Someone else's gross sweat spots on the base for days. Crazy guy jumps from treadmill to treadmill and doesn't wipe them down and he is all sweaty. The staff is always friendly!
