I toured this club after coming to JH for a work assignment. First, the prices are outrageous. Only highly premium, exclusive fitness clubs can justify $80+ per month. My home club that I visit when I’m not away has multiple saunas, basketball, pickleball, weights, track, cardio, and TRX, all for $35 a month.

Beyond that, there’s a general feel that this place has gotten the landlord special. In spite of the purported facelift, there’s an obvious reside of the aging facility. Will go elsewhere to exercise.

Tried a few gyms to allow our 16 year old to work out while visiting. Denied for age, until we found this gym. It was critical he work out as he is heading into football season in 6 weeks. Beautiful, clean facility, modern everything up to date. The owners manners and assistance were incredible. My son walked out and said if I make enough money someday that is the exact gym I would want to own. And this is how they treat strangers who beg askance while enjoying a vacation. Thank you, sir!

Overall, a good fitness option for locals, however, a few tweaks could be made.

This gym does get pretty crowded after work and it does end in wait times, usually I find something else to do until machine becomes available. There is a problem with 30+ year old gym bros wandering away from equipment to talk to friends and then telling others to get off when they leave zero personal items indicating.

Running out of benches & racks are a common problem, I would suggest adding more benches into the far dumbbell room, and adding a second rack next to the existing instead of the equipment there that rarely gets used. I would love to have a place for deadlifting so you aren’t squeezed in with everyone hitting upper body.

This is the best gym in Wyoming. They have a load of equipment in a small area that is spaced out amazingly. They have beautiful western decorations very fitting for Jackson Hole enthusiast. Dumbbells to 100 pounds, squat rack, 2 Smith machines, plate loaded leg press, preacher bench, curl bar set to 110 pounds, incline bench press, flat bench press, hammer strength decline bench press, hammer strength high row machine, kneeling leg curl, seated leg curl, triceps pressdown, pec dec rear delt fly, leg extension, countless more machines, all possible cable combinations, every type of cardio machines, smaller more private rooms to include a stretching room. This is a wide open gym during open hours. You can design any kind of workout split here. Tourist can come in as guest. There are locker rooms with steamer and showers. Best rates in town.

This gym is great and it exceeded my expectations! It had all the equipment I needed, the facility was extremely clean, the staff was very nice, the lighting was perfect, and it was a great atmosphere. Compared to other gyms around here, the price for a day pass is extremely reasonable as well. I highly recommend.

Gym is dated, equipment is not well maintained. The stationary bicycle has a broken pedal that has not been addressed for over a year. There are no personal trainers available. The hours are not consistent. I arrived at the opening time on Dec 23 and waited for 45 minutes in the parking lot with 6 other cars for someone to open the facility. There are other alternatives and I signed up with an another gym nlocated less than 1/2 mile away with newer equipment, a wider variety of machines, soaking tubs, multiple saunas, and steam room.

$85 seems pricey at first but it breaks down to $3 bucks a day! The staff is really laid back & the equipment is solid. It’s not a large gym, you’ll find yourself having to wait for some equipment but the locals are good about communicating & sharing. The steam room could use upgrades but I enjoyed my time with this gym.

I am a tourist to the area and Im glad I found this gym. Excellent facility, and very kind and helpful staff. The equipment is new, everything is clean, and the gym has a cool vibe.

Moreover, many gyms in the area charge (in my opinion) rather steeply for day passes ($40), while this facility charged a fair $20 when I visited.

I've worked out in many gyms and have been a member at Jackson Hole Health & Fitness for a couple years. Now I am moving and one of the things I hate to leave behind is this gym. Great facility. Great equipment, exceptionally clean and well maintained. And a happy gym with friendly staff and members. Jan, Chuck you are great. Jessie I'll miss seeing you everyday...you're the best! I called the gym to get my membership cancelled because I was leaving town for a few months but they never cancelled it. I got a call 3 months later that the payment for the gym membership that I "cancelled” didn't go through. When I lost my credit card they called me and that’s when I realize they were still charging me and had 3 months charged. I asked for a refund and they refused to give it to me, instead they started to threaten me to send the bill to collections and ruin my credit score or get the police involved... very rude staff and unprofessional this also happen to my friend when he left town and my girlfriend when she went to college.
I don't recommend this gym unprofessional staff system.

I'm "one of those guys" that misses my home gyms while I am on vacation, so I decided to check out Jackson Hole Health & Fitness this time around in Jackson. We have been visiting Jackson Hole regularly for over 30 years, but this is the first time I have worked out at JHH&F. $20 is a little steep for a day pass, but I wanted a solid workout, and JHH&F filled the bill. The space is relatively small, but all the essential equipment was there, and in clean, great working order. The check-in process was quick and easy, the staff was great, and the vibe was friendly but "gym serious", which I love. Next time in Jackson Hole, I'll definitely stop by JH&H again! Absolutely recommended.

I was visitng the town and wanted to work out one day. It was small but they had what I needed and reasonabledaily pass price. I am sensitive about smells because of my allergies and they had strong airfreshner so it was a little hard on me to breath. Overall. It was great!

Do NOT go to this gym. Their staff is unhelpful and clearly needs better training as they told me my membership was cancelled but months later I've continued to be charged. When speaking to the owner/manager, Jesse, he was rude, tried to speak over me, and offered no resolution for a refund or not even an apology. Zero accountability for their unprofessional tactics and misinformation. They will rip you off!! Looking forward to Teton Sports Club reopening so I can join a gym that actually has class and customer service skills. 🖕👎

I filled out my resignation form about 6 months or so. I called because I saw them charge me in my bank statement and they said they have no knowledge or documentation of it. Sooo they lost my form and aren’t refunding me. If you want a nice gym with friendly staff don’t go here.

Chuck is very cool, jan not so much... Unfortunately it's very very crowded and impossible to get a good workout in without gym rats camping on equipment and the men's steam room... never smells of eucalyptus but like a dead rodent is behind the walls... Over all it stinks and the "customers/gym rats" make it very very uncomfortable!!!

JH Health and Fitness is a fantastic gym and very affordable. The staff are super knowledgably and super welcoming. Out of all of the gyms I have tried in Jackson and on the Westbank JH Health and Fitness has by far the cleanest, and most up to date equipment. The environment is mostly locals, which is great! The owner Chuck has been helpful with answering questions and is always around making sure everything is going smoothly. JH Health and Fitness is a well run and great gym to become a member at! Highly recommend.

For locals, I think this gym has the right equipment to live a healthy lifestyle. I can always get a good workout without the issue of waiting for space to open up, but there have been days where I couldn't get on the treadmill, or the squat rack was occupied, etc., but there are plenty other pieces of equipment or exercises that can always serve as an alternative for me. I will say that it is a bummer that there is only one power rack, one Smith machine, and one bench press for those who love working on the big lifts, so if you come around popular hours between 5-7 pm, you may be waiting! Again, I think there is enough of a variety that you can make it work. Anyway, I love that they serve coffee (pre-workout!) and they offer a decent whey protein when you forget yours at home for about $2. They have a convenient key holder for those that come straight to the gymand don't want to carry stuff around, but there are lockers (you will need your own lock). A charging station closer to the windows with a variety of plug ins. Classes are diverse and vary in intensity, and there is a smaller area for those who need room for more involved workouts when the studio is occupied with a class. And most dreadful part is the membership is 69/month, and the day pass is $15. Expensive, I know, but what isn't in Jackson?

Edit (03/17/2020): since I've joined, they have made several great additions, and prices stayed the same. Front desk staff has lots of turnover, but they are generally friendly. I've gotten stronger over the years and have implemented several training cycles that require some movements that certain members and staff will not be a fan of you performing. It's more like a Planet Fitness, but has one or two staff members that let you get away with deadlifting 500+ lbs without Barb cluckin' over by the elliptical. Regardless, I've always loved training here and the locals have always been friendly with me and the occasional tourist(s).

I would never recommend Jackson Hole Health and Fitness to even my worst nemesis. The ownership is unfriendly, rude, and cares not about their relationship with the clients. The way JH Health and Fitness goes about pricing and cancelations feels scammy and predaceous. The equipment is FINE, the space is tight, and the facilities are just about as clean as a sweaty college gym.

I wanted to put my membership on hold for a few months until covid slowed down a bit. The gym sanitation practices are not very safe in my opinion. Considering the what was happening in the world and here in Jackson.

So I called the morning of July1. I left numerous messages for the managers over the next 2 days and received no call back.

I finally went in to talk and neither manager was there. I was told I would have to pay through the end of August by staff. Because there was no hold....I would just have to resign.

Very disappointed in their lack of follow up..no calls back....and their insistence on charging through the end of August..... Even though I wanted to just come back after covid cases subsided.

I will NOT be renewing my membership after covid as I had planned to.

Buyer beware with this mgmt team. NOT the best business people to deal with.

I've been a member since February 2020 and have a gym membership in a different city also. My first gym is a large chain and is great, what I can tell you about Jackson Hole health and fitness is that even though it's a smaller gym its got everything you'll need to get a great workout, the equipment is in great shape and kept in great working condition, the staff is amazing, they are always very helpful and nice. I would recommend this gym to all my friends

I liked the gym when i was going there, however after i gave my 30 days notice because i was moving the customer service was not so great. They charged me almost two months after i gave my notice for a full months membership (i gave my written notice in the end of April, expecting to be charged for the next 30 days and i was on May 1st, but a new charge just came through on June 2nd which should not have happened. The one in May should have been my last charge). When i called and asked why, they said they would let the manager know and he would likely call me back and issue me a refund that day.
The manager has not called me once, and i have not seen any refund. I don't live in the area anymore and haven't used the gym since the end of April. Im really disappointed that I haven't even received a call back.

I ask the manager/owner to cancel my plan with an 24 days before(in the contract its mentioned one month in advance notice cancellation policy) and the owner explain me with a different funny examples such as: tv cable companies have cancellation policy and everyone should follow it, or landlord has cancellation policy in the rental agreement...! 'No exceptions',sorry Alexander you still have to pay this month and next month as well,my doors are open even if you use my service or not,that's what I been told by the manager/owner. Very disappointed.
