Absolutely blown away by how clean this PF is! On travel from Texas and have been to a lot of PF locations throughout the States and PR and this facility is on point! Their machines are all newer machines and the club itself is immaculately maintained. Had the pleasure of meeting Chris at the front desk and she was extremely knowledgeable about the equipment and a delight to chat with. Ok Laramie Wyoming…… I see you!!!!!

2024 update.
Since I've complained about a man being in the women's shower next to me, please make it simple and cancel my membership.

Women are not safe in your facilities when nothing is done to stop men from being in with women in the showers.

I did not, appreciate that a man had been in the shower next to me as I showered in the women's locker room. He put on a dress and used the hand dryer to dry his hair.

I only realized after I'd finished my shower that it had been a man right next to me in the shower.

It's been 2 years since that incident happened and today is 2023 and it still bothers me.
It's a violation to a real woman to be put in that situation.

Very nice and clean gym. Plenty of parking spaces and all the staff are very friendly. The machines are well kept and no lines to use them. It's a smaller gym compared to a bigger city planet fitness. Because of that it's not crowded and kept clean. Must stop by if you are a member and out of town for quick workout.

Music is waaaaay too loud. I asked them to turn it down and they said it is set by corporate. We moved from out of state and carried out membership over to Laramie. But I’ll be canceling it soon. I drove 1.5 miles from the truck stop to work out and immediately saw like 10 NO SEMI PARKING signs. I know when I'm not welcomed. This PF looks dirty anyway. The PF sign in the front has flickering and blown out light bulbs. Avoid this gym if you drive a semi.

I’ve been going to gyms my whole life. The only reason this gym sets itself apart from others is the customer service provided by Chris, the nice woman who makes it a point to learn her clients names and always offer a smile. She is obviously extremely hard working, and is ALWAYS cleaning equipment, which I appreciate as a healthcare worker!! As long as she is there, I will be!! Great hire Planet fitness!

The concept of not being allowed to feel good about yourself and that we should celebrate fat people is an oxymoron when you are at the gym. We are all there trying to become better versions of ourselves and that always will include a bit of vanity. That’s just human nature.

I hate that the massage beds are limited to 10 minutes even when it’s empty and you have to beg for more time. I wish the showers had shampoo and body wash like any other gym.

Just shut off our membership. Had a hassle every time my wife brought me as a guest, had to put me in the system over and over every time she brought me. Was completely embarrased and shamed by staff and was told I could no longer workout during my workout, due to the fact that my account was not active at the time due to an overdue fee and my bank account was apparently not on file, which should have been since I was signed up, it was apparent to me that my bank account had been deleted and trying to figure out what was wrong without getting any notifications that my account was not active and the fact that I had an overdue fee when it clearly shows that it has been charged to my account on my bank statement on my phone and then trying to check in as a guest was like pulling teeth then they no longer wanted to talk and then snidely said I could workout for the day. This was not the most pleasent experince, the staff continued to talk poorly and judge me when I was trying to go back and workout and it made me no longer feel accpted there. So much for a judgment free zone. Please talk to staff about how to approach clients and keept attitude at home.

Day 1 these guys were friendly, helpful and maintained cleanliness.
I bounced between gyms in Laramie and they're all unique. This gym doesn't have the heaviest weights, but the quality of the machines and weights are very well upkept. That includes equipment like ropes, and other cable attachments. If you want a gym that's friendly, upkept, and offers a variety of amenities including tanning & massage beds this is the place for you.

I have been a member for several years and my fee comes directly out of my bank account every month. Today I was confronted at front desk by " new manager Angela " and told I couldn't work out until I paid my $30. Late fees. When I questioned this she initially told me it was because I
had a credit card on file that was declined. I explained the fee comes directly from my bank account which she then acknowledged.. she then said my bank had paid late 3 separate times last year. I had never been notified of this issue to fix it and should have been notified last August when the late fees were incurred instead of letting it occur 3 more times without anyone notifying me.And since my bank statements show my fees were deducted every single month I had no knowledge there was an issue. If Angela had been anything but obnoxious, argumentative and rude I am sure it could have been resolved because I have always enjoyed going there and have been a loyal member for years. She actually said to me "there are other gyms in town you can go to". An intelligent manager would understand the value and importance of keeping customers!!! Angela got her$30 late fees today at the expense of a $240 annual
revenue stream as my husband and I both cancelled.

I went to planet fitness to get away from the crowded college gym. I love the atmosphere there and the people who work there. Lawerence Gaytan has been a really big help to me in my time there so far. He is very knowledgeable and has taught me a lot with lifting and how to target certain areas while lifting. I see him helping others to achieve their fitness goals also through coaching and being a trainer. He has made coming to the gym very enjoyable along with everyone else at planetfitness

Disinfectant almost always empty. No TP in the restroom. No soap in the shower. One trash can in the locker room. Workers are nice but never leave the desk.

There is no FREE FITNESS TRAINER at this location, It says FREE FITNESS TRAINER twice on the description of the Black Card, which I have. I never had access to a FREE FITNESS TRAINER of any kind during my membership. Now I am having problems getting my membership cancelled. I either have to come in to gym or write a letter. I can't just cancel over the phone or internet. Is this 1980? I thought it was 2022.

No customer service. I set up the account the only way they would let me, with a checking account I don't use. They have my credit card on file for any charges. It works fine. They use it every week for Gatorade. I was charged a 10.00 late fee because they decided not to use my credit card for my auto pay. Nobody asked me. I wasn't given a chance to decide. They had no trouble contacting me to tell me to come pay the late fee. I would think if they were capable of contacting me, they could have asked me to authorize my secondary payment method for the 23.00 membership fee. They didn't. They would rather get that $10 extra that I did not agree to. They just charged me $33 instead of $23. I am locked in a contract. I cannot cancel because I don't agree with having my payment increased by 1/3. My husband was all set to get his own membership. Not now. I was going to renew mine. Not now. I was very clear that I did not agree with this charge but I guess they think we're just slaves with no option but to follow orders. I'm not. I have 2 other gyms and there is at least one I haven't checked out yet. I have plenty of options. So does my family and friends. I guess pf would rather have their little ten measly dollars. If pf can't handle a tiny customer service issue like this, I have no confidence in their ability to handle any issue. You don't give up a happy customer for $10. You just don't. I spent more than that on freaking Gatorade. Not anymore.

The facility is nice and machines well maintained. Lots of choices and even during busier times it doesnt feel too congested.

That's where it ends. Don't expect any help from staff regarding the app or services.
In my 1st trip back the front desk gal was extremely rude. I stood at the desk for nearly a full minute before I was acknowledged.
Furthermore when I asked for help w/ the mobile app I got the ever-helpful " I don't know I just work here." from the same front-desk individual. I mean I wanna get not-fat, but it certainly did not feel like the welcoming environment that PF purports itself to have--this location in particular seems plagued by the revolving door transience of college-aged employees. If you have other choices it may be a better experience for you to utilize them, in my opinion.

Absolutely furious with planet fitness horrible customer service on the phone and at my local location. I canceled my membership and then was billed an additional month after I just spent a ton of money to make my account payment up to date as I had fraud on my account. After speaking with two employees and verifying that there should not be any additional charges I was then billed later that week after signing a agreement that said I was canceling early. I tried to speak with someone about why I was billed even after signing the agreement and no one was very helpful. Very disappointing when you go in to a establishment to make sure everything is taken care of to close a account and it clearly wasn’t.

I've worked out at various places around Laramie, and this is hands-down the best gym in terms of price/value. The staff is always friendly, and will work hard to accommodate any request I (and others) had. They have managed the influx of students from the University (due to Half-Acre closing) remarkably well. Also, I appreciate the cleanliness of the facility!

Be warned that this gym does not enforce its rules against all members. It totally depends on who you are.

I once watched four individuals walk past the front entrances without masks, so I figure masks are optional and attempt to do the same. I was singled out by their manager and told to wear a mask. I informed him of the hypocrisy and asked him why I didn't get treated the same. He was extremely dissmissive of my comment and gave no response. I have no problems with wearing a mask, but why do only some people have to wear them? Doesn't that defeat the entire purpose?

Later during my workout I was again singled out for setting weights down too loud even as another gym goer next to me was setting the weights down with equivalent, if not greater, sound. I surmised this had to do with the other gym goer being an acquaintance of employees.

I've worked out at three different planet fitnesses in two states now and this was by far the worst experience in one I've ever had. It is also the first time in 3 years I've ever had any issues with anyone working at one.
