My life has transformed in so many ways since starting workouts with Matt! My strength has improved and I have built muscle at age 62. I am able to be out and around in the winter without fear of falling now. Gaining the strength has helped me to build confidence and determination I never really experienced before. I love working out, it is the best way to start my day. Matt makes each workout challenging and different. He places a high value on correct form with each exercise. He motivates me to push past my perceived limits to get results. At 54 I am comfortable when he pushes me to achieve my goals.

I'm thankful to be a part of Transforming Strength. I love the structure of the class, the safety involved- because of the knowledge Matt has- and the fact that any level of fitness can walk in, get the right level of guidance and make strides towards personal goals. There's no expectations that you keep up with the guy next to you or the coach. I'm not a fan of commercial gyms- I like knowing that when I walk out of those doors I got a good workout in...every time. I trust Matt and his experience in strength training, nutrition and have also had his help on training successfully for a half marathon.

I have trained with Matt for 1 1/2 years. Personal and group training. He individualizes workouts, and increases at your capabilities. I would highly recommend this training, it is safe and Matt is extremely knowledgeable and fun to work with.

I just started a few weeks ago and I've been very pleased with each workout. There is a definite concentration on form to to make sure that injuries do not happen. Each workout is unique and always challenging. Because I'm new to the trainer has really worked with me to modify some of the stations so that I progress without hurting myself.

Matt's expertise, patience, and passion are just a few of the attribites that stand out to me. I have trained twice in my life with Matt Hartsky. He lived in my area the first time, and after he had relocated I drove 100 miles one way to work with him. He knew how to push me further than I ever thought I could go in strength and endurance without risking injury. He worked with me and my body's individual nutritional needs. No fad diets, no hype, no over- promising. He is a master of communication and directed me to my goals with encouragement and a great sense of humor. His workouts are challenging and produce results. If I lived near his gym, I would be there in a heartbeat. He is the best!!

I have worked with several trainers over the years and Matt is a “cut above”. He works with you on your personal goals in a safe, non-judge mental atmosphere. He encourages you every step of the way, while pushing you to do more and be more. Even though in a class setting, I feels like I get one-on-one instruction as he corrects, coaches and guides without ever sacrificing proper technique or personal safety. I have lost unwanted body fat and gained strength in so many areas, this past year has truly been a “transformation” for me. I can’t imagine training with anyone else, Matt and Transform are stuck with me for the long haul!

Strength training and fitness have been part of my life for the last 35 years. I'm not the best at being my own trainer. I do much better when someone tells me what to do and I just do it. I have worked with numerous trainers, been to countless fitness and strength classes, and tried all the fitness crazes from Jazzercise to Crossfit. Through all of that, I have run across only 2 trainers who really know what they are doing, truly get excited about helping clients attain their goals, and can work with an individual's physical limitations. Matt Hartsky is one of those trainers. His insistence on impeccable form, safety, and thoughtful strength progressions are a rare find. If you put the work in, Matt will take you where you want to go. If only I had found him sooner!!

I started working out with Matt because I wasn't seeing progress in the workouts I was doing on my own. Workouts with Matt are challenging, but inspiring. He encourages me to lift weights in a way that communicates that he believes in me; and every time, he's right. His faith in my ability to lift weights I never thought that I could, causes me to feel accomplished and proud of myself; and at 5am, that's a great start to the day. Matt combines strength training with a knowledge of how to make the workouts safe. I went from having back spasms and SI pain (due to lack of strength, balance, and previous injuries) to no issues. If something doesn't "feel" right, Matt makes quick adjustments to ensure that I get the most from the workout, without any injuries. He is meticulously observant during the workout to make sure that my form is effective, and he will make small adjustments. I have made progress in so many areas since starting workouts with Matt. I can squat and do single leg RDL's with 50 pound dumbbells in each hand. Each workout is different in never the same. Matt's training has transformed me into a stronger, healthier, more confident version of myself

Menopause hit. The numbers on my scale kept climbing upward, as did my LDL and total cholesterol. My legs were swelling. Never the athletic type, I was pretty nervous when I walked into Transform 307, now Transforming Strength, almost 3 years ago. Matt immediately put me at ease. I signed up for a month of personal training, then joined one of his small group classes twice a week. Since then, I have lost 25 lbs, dropped from over 23% to 18% body fat, and my blood labs have never been better. All that is well and good, but more importantly, I have grown so much as a person throughout my transformation. I am more confident, not only in the gym, but in my daily life. There is something about weights that is empowering! I keep on coming back every weekday at 5am for an incredible workout that pushes me to be a stronger and better person. Each workout is different. In 3 years, I’ve never done the same workout twice! The best part is that Matt is there watching every move, making sure my form is correct to minimize the risk of injury. That’s why his class sizes are so small - his top priority is keeping us safe. After 6 months of training, I approached Matt about nutritional counseling. I’ve been following his nutritional guidance and eating on purpose for over 2 years now and I feel incredible! I’m getting more out of my workouts, growing stronger, and sleeping better. I can’t imagine working out anywhere else – I will always be a transformer!

It has been a wonderful and positive experience for me. I’m older with a lot of joint damage, and Matt was able to help and teach me how to strengthen my body without causing more injuries. He helped me avoid surgery for 2 years. And I learned so much about working out and perseverance and my own strengths and weaknesses. These lessons are helping me recover from knee replacement surgery right now. I’m very much looking forward to working with Matt again in the near future.
