Finished my first ten days of training here and truly impressed. The four trainers I alternated between were all very attentive and friendly. Paid attention to my goals and paced me throughout while directing my form ( chief concern is not hurting myself). Loved that John especially has me trying new machines which keep me engaged and interested while working out ( I'm easily distracted). Excited to go back for another session. Their reputation is well deserved.

I recently joined Lift ~2 months ago and it's been an incredible experience! Whether you're a beginner (like me) or seasoned pro, this gym caters to all. Victoria, my coach, is fantastic and I really enjoy training with her — she tracks my goals, adjusts my workouts to fit my needs, and even recommended me great training shoes. I’ve been training at Lift for a year and a half - the workout, professionalism, facilities and trainers are the best of the best. Love everyone here and they all get to know you even if you aren't their client. I train with Abby twice a week and it's always a great experience. She knows when to push you and challenge you, takes injuries into account, and is a genuine trainer who cares about you and your goals both in and out of the gym. Her WMNLift class is also awesome and a great paced workout with a fun group. She's also a total badass who practices what she preaches and does races and competitions herself.

I love going to Lift in Lincoln Park! I've been doing personal training with Abby twice a week for 45 minutes each for about 8 months. I like that they offer 30,45 or 1-hour training sessions so you can find one that works for you. The time always goes by quickly! I have gotten so much stronger since working out with Abby after a long pandemic of not working out. Not only that but Abby does an amazing job at working around areas that are bothering me and tailors each workout. Highly recommend this gym and Abby!

Scheduling Training! One of the easiest and most transparent sign up processes where you simply select your date, time, and trainer! And just as simply - you can change any time. So its super convenient and saves you time when scheduling sessions. Also, access to numerous different trainers with different styles and skills to learn from. 7 days a week, all times during the day! So will work for any schedule you have! I also like how they have a variety of options for 30 minute, 45 minute and 60 minute workouts.

Equipment & Amenities! Best equipment and wide variety to keep you busy. I've done several on my own but nothing matches having a personal trainer take you through all the skills on using each. Locker room is nice, clean, and everything you need. TV, music and everything else you need!

I've been working with Abby 3 days a week since October 2021, and it's probably not too much of a stretch to say I'm in love with her.

In all seriousness, after 5 months of 1:1 sessions multiple times a week, I can confidently say that Abby embodies everything I could want in a trainer.

* Abby worked with MY body. She is an educated professional who actively listened to me when I told her the issues I'd been having with tightness in my back and a stiff knee for years. She took the time to understand what was going on with me, and thoughtfully introduced exercises to address and correct my problems. She never forgot about it, never dismissed my previous efforts to help myself, (stretching, physical therapy, yoga, massage therapy, etc.), and continually tweaks my form or variations to make sure we're improving my body.

*Abby is attentive! She never looks at her phone, chats with coworkers, or lets me slack through a movement. Even though I imagine it gets repetitive to remind me to tighten my core or drive through my heels, she's always making sure I'm getting the best workout I can in each session.

*Abby is humble and hilarious. She is SO fit and awesome which could be intimidating, but I feel completely comfortable huffing through movements with her. She makes me feel like she wants me to succeed and progress as much as I do, which just creates an awesome and positive atmosphere. She encourages my goals and progress, which in turn helps me push through tough movements. She's always energied and ready to go in the mornings, and as an added benefit consistently has me laughing at her silly sayings. If you work with her, you'll soon be preferring to Thursday as "Friday Jr."

*Abby produces results! Working with her not only am I getting stronger, but she's helped me incorporate lifestyle changes in a sustainable and encouraging way. She is willing and able to provide nutrition and lifestyle advice. I love so much that she gives me tangible, easily incorporable things to add into my routine. She is an advocate for starting and small and building, and it's great to work with someone who shares a long term vision for lasting results.

If you're looking for a positive, encouraging, attentive, and results-driven trainer, you'll find it all in Abby!

WOW!!! I cannot say enough great things about Lift Chicago! Truly a fantastic experience. First off, with all things COVID, I felt very safe and comfortable using the equipment. Every trainer is cleaning and disinfecting after each client they are with and the gym overall was very clean. I had the pleasure training with Coach Abby! She is the perfect trainer to motivate, challenge and listen to your fitness goals. She targeted all my areas of concern and made the 45min fly by! She also is great working around the client’s schedule to ensure the best quality experience. Everyone in the gym is so kind and welcoming! I felt like a regular right away :) Also one of the trainers, Chad, helped me purchase my monthly package and was very helpful! Made the process very quick and efficient and answered all my questions. Overall, I was extremely pleased with my time and training season at Lift Chicago! I have trained with the guys at Lift for a long time and consider my sessions to be some of my best long-term investments. My workouts there are sustainable, enjoyable and challenging—and critical to my physical and mental health. Everyone at Lift is extremely smart, knowledgeable about kinesiology and exercise science, and strikes a good balance between pushing you hard and knowing when to dial it back to reinforce form and/or add accessory or rehab work. This best place to work out in Chicago. Intelligent trainers with a great atmosphere. You can tell they love what they do and are passionate about creating the best gym/workout experience possible. Workouts are tailored to specific needs, take account for any injuries, and also help you meet individual fitness goals. All of the trainers are great because they listen to you and pay attention to your form to make sure you are getting high quality reps and avoiding injury. It’s efficient and effective 30 min workout that is just the right amount of challenging. I can’t recommend Lift enough!

He has helped me train for marathons, triathlons, and helped me get stronger again after some injuries, and now he’s helped me train through a pandemic, too! I’ve been training at Lift since it opened (and with Josh elsewhere for a few years prior). As a middle aged endurance athlete, I used to think I should strength train, but never did it consistently until I found Josh. He understands that I have some chronic injuries from years of marathons and triathlons. He works with me to strengthen my weakness to help make me a well rounded athlete. He also pays very close attention to my form to prevent additional injuries. All the strength coaches and clients at Lift create a fun and supportive community and I always look forward to my sessions. I believe that my Lift sessions are the key to staying “young” as I age.

It’s always been difficult to get into a steady routine and stay motivated, until I started training at LIFT seven months ago with Coach Isaac. Not only do I have a program designed for my goals, each session is extremely efficient at 45 mins including both strength and cardio work.

I appreciate that he’s been able to design a program that helps me with my tennis elbow pain, all while getting me ready for my wedding this fall!

I have a very busy schedule, so my training sessions need to be very efficient, staying under an hour at all times.

LIFT provides a highly “efficient” workout protocol— time is maximized by increasing intensity to produce great results in half the time.

Their 30-minute model uses shorter rest periods to tax the muscular and cardiovascular system simultaneously. By doing so, you are able to do more quality reps in 30 mins than someone would be able to do on their own in a full hour. And, when it comes to strength training, quality is always better than quantity, which they focus on.

I've been training at LIFT since they opened and the trainers here are second to none. They are highly skilled, consummate professionals, and just all around nice guys. The trainers are always careful to take any existing injuries or deficits into account when designing my training program.
Finally, I can honestly say that I owe my dramatically improved form when lifting weights to the crew at LIFT. I hear Pete's voice in my head whenever I lift on my own--which means I maintain good form and avoid injury even when I'm not working out with them.

Finally found the best gym in Chicago! For years I tried Classpass, CrossFit, Barry’s, UFC, Title, etc. Only Lift Chicago has EFFICIENT tailor-made workouts, that push you to your limits, all at a reasonable price. I like to mix it up with their HIIT classes and Lift sessions. Highly recommend.

The trainers are miracle workers, especially Kyle. When I started, my knees were so bad, I needed assistance getting on and off the floor. All I have to say is that I no longer will need two knee replacements because of this place. They will get you strong, and change your total body make up in 30 minutes a week. It doesn't matter where you are in your experience, if you stay consistent with them, you can transform into something that you never thought.

I have loved working out at Lift since my first visit and now go twice a week. I particularly like the welcoming friendly atmosphere - everyone is welcome regardless of capability or prior experience. All the trainers are highly experienced, really listen and tailor the workouts to your specific needs. The workouts are efficient, focused and exactly tough enough so you feel you have done your best workout - in only 30 minutes! Pete gives me just the right push each time to get me past what I thought were my limits. I would strongly (ha!) recommend working out at Lift - you will quickly feel the benefits.

It literally doesn't get better than this gym for top notch knowledgable and professional personal training. I had previously been getting personal training (with a trainer in their top "tier" level) at a local gym but I didn't feel like programming was done with my specific goals in mind or considering my limitations. I have a cervical spinal fusion and have a unique mix of weaknesses and compensatory strategies I am working to overcome. My training at LIFT always challenges me while also being mindful of where I am strength and endurance wise so I don't feel like road kill the next day. My trainer is DEFINITELY well educated and knowledgable about his craft, he is precise with corrections and modifications, and I always know my workout is tailored for me. I've noticed improvements in a matter of weeks and have never looked forward to my workouts more. If you are looking for a place to drop in whenever, hit the elliptical for an hour or do 100 burpees and peace out, there's an LA fitness somewhere else for you. If you want curated workouts from ACTUALLY knowledgeable trainers, attention to injury prevention, clean and high quality workout equipment in a great space, this is your place. But since I'm sharing this, just don't take my time slot ok?

I have always been a very active person but I have seen the biggest difference in both my strength and physique since working out at Lift. I’ve been to many gyms and workout classes around the city (like a LOT)—they really know their stuff at Lift. Recently, Pete has been helping me work through a shoulder injury. Lift offers their clients a fantastic value proposition by providing one on one instruction personalized for your individual goals and tailored around any injuries or challenges you might have. Working with a coach drives me to push myself harder than I ever did on my own which has allowed me to make more progress in a few 30 minute sessions per week than I would get by spending hours in the gym alone.

The coaches are all friendly and engaged with their work and love what they do. Their passion for their work translates to the customer experience.

In my case, I came in with lifelong back problems and a current back injury sustained at a similar training facility. Their focus on correcting form and improving my core strength has all but eliminated my back problems.
