This place is a scam. I signed up online and I live in Cordova. They automatically assigned me to Horn Lake and would NOT let me transfer. I have cancer, so I essentially just gave up after that because going to the gym is hard enough without having to drive 45 minutes. I paid a cancelation fee and went on my way. However, they charged me AGAIN. So THIS time I spoke to them on the phone, disputed the charge, and went on my way. Except they STILL charged me, so THIS TIME I sent them a letter so I had TANGIBLE PROOF of the cancelation. I went on my way.

They just charged me again...
I have NEVER set foot behind those doors.
As of July 7th, it is illegal to charge someone for a subscription that they have canceled and the subscription has to be canceled in two clicks online or less. The fact that they still scam thousands of folks with zero legal recourse is just a fun reflection of our nation and how the law only applies to poor people. 🙄

I love Planet Fitness. I always feel comfortable, especially at the Horn Lake, MS location. It has specific machines I like, and I enjoy the layout. I've had a few minor issues since I didnt read all the terms in the agreement with rules and billing. Sometimes some of it depends on who's working and their discernment about rules. Cleanliness depends on the day and the members.

The facility is kept very clean. I see staff cleaning machines often and restrooms. Machines are in good condition and there is enough variety. I enjoy using the hydromassage after a workout. The prices are great, too!

This evening, I had the pleasure of meeting Keith. I tried to work out on my own and decided that I may not be using the best form. I went to the front desk to ask a couple of questions. Not only did he answer, but he took me to each machine and gave me a demonstration. He also showed me two additional machines that I should be using and gave me the anatomical correlation and benefit of using them all together. He was more than accommodating. My husband and I made the right choice to use PF.

I usually go to the one in OB decide to change the scenery and check out this one I was very impressed. Way better updated equipment. Establishment was very clean including the bathroom, and the machines are not jammed up together. Manager was nice & friendly as well

Things to know about this planet fitness:

They definitely lack equipment. Do not plan on doing any cool down work as there isn’t a place to do so along with them lacking yoga mats, foam rollers, Pilates balls, or anything else of that sort. As a workout enthusiast and a coach, this is necessary equipment that should be in a gym.

I feel like every time I come into this particular location something is always going on whether something is not working, unavailable for use, and/or staff is uninviting— mainly the lady that works at the front desk at night.

Moving on, I went in to use the tanning bed tonight around 9:30 and was told that they’re unavailable right now because she was cleaning them; however, she was actually standing by the front desk preoccupied by her phone. This is the same lady I mentioned before. After a long day of work & running back-and-forth to the hospital, I was really looking forward to this time and of course I shouldn’t have been surprised when she said they were down. If I would’ve known this, I would’ve went to the Olive Branch location since I never have any issues with their business. The tanning bed fans do not work properly in the beds— basically they either barely blow out any air or don’t blow any air out at all. It is a small room that lacks air circulation. It truly makes it hard to breathe. Also, there’s nowhere to hang or set any belongings down unless it’s on the floor. 😬😒

They definitely went the cheap route with this place.

The only positive I can see from this place is if you wanted to get a quick small workout in possibly with less people. Other than that the Horn Lake Planet Fitness is most certainly a downgrade from the Olive branch location, and I only come here because it is near my home.

I’ve been going here for about 3-4 month and have not enjoyed my experience. I tried to do step ups using a bench and was told I couldn’t then the only offer was I could use something not even a foot off the ground for step ups. I go back to ask about if there was something else I could use and the worker seemed more interested in her conversation than helping me and told her coworker I would find it like it wasn’t a big deal and I couldn’t leave them alone fast enough. Another day I did a quick 30 minute ab workout and on my way out the door was asked who I was coming and spying on. I feel quite uncomfortable and the app always says its crowd meter is low but sometimes that’s definitely not the case. Will likely be switching gyms.

After a day of fighting the steering wheel, I stopped in here to work my leg and core muscles a bit before turning in for the night in the Sprinter van.

The thirty minute circuit had all the right equipment and on a Saturday night, I had my choice of treadmills to use. Very quiet in this Planet Fitness.

Showers were okay. Not completely clean but good enough. New curtains would help but it's clear that the club is making an effort.

I wish I could put something lower than 1 star. This is the worst gym with the rudest employees especially Patricia that I've ever seen. This lady does not know her job and is very rude I canceled my membership just because of her and another lady who's supposed to be a trainer and couldnt train a fly with her rude attitude they are intentionally rude to customers and judgemental.

Im on the younger side of teenagers and I do MCJROTC and pt two days a week isn't enough so I'm going to the gym again and planet fitness is amazing their kind and it's a safe calm environment definitely recommend for people over 13 yrs

I was trying to use this equipment znd it was the last one of my routine today and I was going home. This machine does not extend what so ever. This lady in they gray shirt said she was holding a class and said I had to wait until class was over. I explain that I wasn't going to be in anybody's way. The response was, "I AM doinf class and you will have to wait."

Now the last time I checked my bank statement, I pay like everybody else. As you can see from the pictures I wasn't going to be in harms way of anyone. I should have to the same rights as anyone else to use the equipment. I just left and not really happy.

I would have given PF 5 stars, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the non-handicapped people and staff are parking in the handicap parking spaces. Yes handicap people do work out. I called about this with the city of Horn Lake and said the owners or the managers are responsible for this. I will change my stars to 5 once this is corrected. Other than this I can't say enough nice things about this PF.

This is one of their newest centers that has just opened I was also there for the south opening. It’s a great location close to everything so there will be no excuse for any resolution we’re trying to get back in shape or get your mom and dad so physical activity in the gym so they are stronger. If you wish to come in at a very convenient time you may want to check their app because it’s going to get pretty busy this year! They have room showers lockers oh and you have to go exploring to find some of the equipment but please come in with a plan in mind of what equipment you really want to go to because if it doesn’t it slows down your momentum for progress. The staff it’s nice and helpful and I think you’ll really have a good relaxation moment and the massage chairs been or one of their newly added spaces. If you’re black car member you already know…
